I found a way to enjoy my fruit-free Green Juices!

I'm very excited right now because after plugging my nose and literally forcing my pure Green Juice down this morning (kale, lettuce, cucumber), I realized that I really NEED to find a way to enjoy my juices again, even though I cannot use fruit in them for awhile. I have been a bit stubborn about it because I miss my Apples in my juices! They make any green taste better. It's true. But, I have to deal with what is and what is is that I have to avoid fruits for awhile.... SOO... I came up with some good alternatives to use in my juices and after using them... something really awesome happened... I didn't even notice that Apple was missing! It really works well. I used 1 lemon, 1 lime and a packet of Stevia in place of fruit and then of course, I added my usual greens Kale, Romaine and as always, a huge Cucumber.... it's soo good for your skin! Oh and incase anyone is wondering why I can't have fruit but I can have lemons and limes.... they are neutral fruits, so they work fine when trying to avoid most fruits. Same with things like Avocado, Cucumber, Bell Pepper, etc. I highly suggest anyone who is hesistant about using Stevia to try the "NUStevia" I have a bunch of Sweet Stevia's but Natalia Rose told me to try the NUStevia and it's WAY better and doesn't have that strange after tatse! It tastes like sugar... but thankfully, it's not. :-)

I'm happy to say that I now look forward to making my fruit-free juice in the morning :-) just don't take my lemons, limes or stevia away and I'm all set.

There is something else that I am so excited about.... they now sell in my markets "Cut n Clean Greens" which are all different types of Greens (not just spinach and lettuce!) that are all chopped and washed..... and ORGANIC!!!! I have been saying for the longest time, "why do they not sell ready made kale or chard, etc?" You can find washed spinach and romaine everywhere you go but you never see washed and ready greens of any other kind! well... now there are! I can finally stop stressing over washing, drying and chopping SO much!!!!

Awesome! I'm glad to hear there's a great alternative for you. I might have to try one too. :)

girl, you're a ROCKSTAR. . . in all ways. Beautiful and inpsiring and no matter what the journey is with your weight. . . you truly glow (inside and out- i'm getting gushy again). . . and as a sidenote- I'll have an apple every once in awhile for you and send you the virtual vibrations from it so you can feel it without actually eating it. . . how does that sound?
rereading that, it sounds a bit kooky but it wouldn't be as fun any other way, right?

Hi Britanie!

I've been reading your blog for a while now, and I find you very inspiring!

I was wondering: How exactly do you make your green juice? Do you juice all of your greens, or blend them, or both? And, how much kale and romaine would you say you use for each smoothie? They sound so delicious, I would love to know how to make them!

how many green apples, grapefruit, and berries are you allowed to consume? when can you incorporate these into your diet? i am also on an anti-candida diet and gained weight because i eat jars of nut butter. i am a loser.

also are you doing the anti-fungals again?

I'm totally going to get that brand of stevia! Always wondered about it! I can't wait to read your whole blog. I know it will really help me out. I still feel like a newbie even though I've been getting into raw since last oct/nov. I'm generally pretty good at it now, but when I got tons of school work I sometimes slack off. But not as much as when I started!

Great blog and looking forward to meeting you May 3rd. I think you're going to the ny posse meet-up. If I'm wrong, then I'll meet ya some other time :)

Enjoy your non-fruit juice!
